Day 01 Arrive Cochn
You arrive in Cochin by International flight. After a traditional
'Swagat' (Welcome) our representative would meet & assist you at
the airport and to our hotel for check-in.
Cochin always had a very popular and historical sea trade connection
with Middle East, Mediterranean Europe, Dutch and British. It has one
of the finest natural harbors on the Arabian coastline. Its
cosmopolitan character is reflected in the buildings and structures
representing different regions of the world. It is one of the few
places in the world where one can see a Jewish synagogue, Portuguese
churches, architecture, mosques, temples and Chinese fishing nets, all
in one city. A city of peninsulas and islands, today it is Kerala's
commercial hub.
Today afternoon our guide will take you for a half day city tour of
Cochin, with visits to St. Francis' Church, Dutch Palace (Built by the
Portuguese), Jew Town, the Jewish Synagogue built in the year 1568,
spice market, where the air is filled with the pungent smell of spices,
and Chinese fishing nets. In the evening we see Kerala's most popular
classical dance, Kathakali. Overnight stay at the hotel
Day 02 : Cochin
Morning post breakfast you will be taken for a visit to Edappally
church and Kerala history museum is a treasure house of important
scenes of Kerala history from Neolithic age to Modern age. Apart from
this, various famous paintings are also exhibited here next we leave
for an excursion to Athirapally located at 78 km from Cochin, this
scintillating waterfall is a popular tourist spot. Further we continue
our tour to Vazachal, A short drive from Athirapally, this picturesque
waterfall is close to dense green forests and is a part of the
Chalakudy River. In the early evening drive back to Cochin for
overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03 : Cochin - Munnar(134 km/3 hrs)
Post breakfast we leave for Munnar, hill station with beautiful tea
gardens. On arrival we assist you to check in at our Hotel. Evening at
leisure and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 : Munnar Today morning we drive to Eravikulam National
Park, the best place to see the Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goat). The
altitude varies from about 1,400m on the valley floor to Anaimudi peak
at 2,695m, the highest peak in Nilgiris and south of the Himalayas. The
drive is through the sprawling tea gardens, among the world's highest.
You make like to stop over and have a short tea garden visit. Evening
at leisure and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05 : Munnar - Thekaddy(Periyar) (160 km/4hrs)
After breakfast, we drive at 0900 hrs to Periyar. Upon arrival at
Periyar, we assist you to check in at our hotel. Set on an attractive
lakeside, it is South India's most popular Wildlife Sanctuary and is a
nice place to cruise on the lake and have an opportunity to see
wildlife.
It is home to tigers, leopards, elephants, bison (gaur), antelopes,
sambhar, wild boar, money etc, and a wide of variety of birds. Late
afternoon at 1500 hrs we shall take you to a guided Spice tour in one
of the Spice Gardens / Plantations for which this region is famous.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Periyar - Kottayam(120 kms/03 hrs)
Early morning before breakfast at 0630 hrs we go for wildlife viewing
to the sanctuary on lake Periyar by boat cruise. After two hours of
wildlife viewing we get back to the hotel for breakfast.
Later we drive to Kottayam and on arrival, switch over to the House
Boat and cruise along the backwaters, passing through paddy fields,
villages, market etc.
The cruise is through `Kuttanad' literally meaning the land, which is
lower than the sea level but is kept intact by its bunds and dikes. It
is the `rice bowl' of Kerala. The rice fields are very beautiful and
this lush land and surrounds governs the placid way of life of the
people who live on the backwaters.

Day 07 : Arrivel Alleppey - Kovalam (180 kms/04˝hrs )
Morning Drive to Kovalam and on arrival in Kovalam, check in at a beach
resort. Rest of the day to relax at the beach or indulge in Ayurvedic
massages. Kovalam is a sheltered bay endowed with unusual beauty,
located on the magnificent Arabian Sea coast. This natural bay is a
safe sea-pool, free from high waves and surges. The 30 kms drive from
the Thiruvananthapuram airport to the beach through groves of palms is
refreshing. It is an ideal place to swim, sunbathe and perhaps enjoy
the ancient rites of an Ayurvedic massage and oil bath.
Overnight in Kovalam.
Day 08 & 9 : Kovalam
Full day free on the beach.

Day 10 : Kovalam - Trivandrum(16kms)- Departure
Morning sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. The capital of Kerala, built
over seven forested hills.
Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a seven storey stone structure is the most
impressive landmark. This temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu contains
several inscriptions and excellent murals, innumerable intricate stone
carvings adorn the temple. Napier Museum of Arts and Crafts completed
in 1880, it was an early experiment in what became known as the Indo
Saracenic style.
