Day 1 : Arrival at Chennai (Madras)
You arrive in Chennai by international flight. After a traditional
'Swagat' (Welcome) our representative would meet & assist you at
the airport and to our hotel for check in and overnight stay.
Day 2 : Chennai
Post breakfast we depart for sightseeing tour touching Fort St. George
once a stronghold of the British, San Thome Cathedral and the museums
that contain the world's most complete and impressive selection of
Chola bronzes and stone sculptures from South India and the Deccan and
the beautiful Mylapore temple. Overnight at hotel
Day 3 : Chennai - Pondicherry(168 Kms / 4-5 hrs)
Post breakfast we to Pondicherry, enroute visit Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram.
Mahabalipuram, Built in the 7th century, this ancient city is said to
be a sculptor's delight, boasting of some of India's most sublime
rock-cut art, for which it is now a World Heritage site.
Kanchipuram, the golden city of thousand temples, one of Hinduism's
seven most sacred cities of the early Cholas of the 2nd century.
Continue drive to Pondicherry. Upon arrival at Pondicherry we check in at our prearranged hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4 : Pondicherry
Post breakfast we depart for half day sightseeing tour of Pondicherry -
visiting Botanical garden, Eglise De Sacre Coeur De Jesus and Sri
Aurobindo Ashram. Later visit township of Auroville or the city of
Dawn. Designed by a French architect Roger Arger, it is an entirely new
concept in education and urban living. Overnight stay at the hotel
Day 5 : Pondicherry - Tanjore (177 kms/4-5 hrs)
After an early breakfast we drive to Tanjore. Upon arrival we check in
at prearranged hotel. Later a visit to Brihadewswara Temple also known
as the 'Big Temple', built by the Chola dynasty. This massive temple is
216 feet high and the single spherical stone on top weighs 80 tons.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 : Tanjore / Trichy / Madurai (200 km/4 hrs.) Post
breakfast departure for Madurai via Trichy. On arrival city tour of
Trichy, covering Srirangam temple & Rockfort, Trichy's most famous
landmark, which has a temple perched on the outcrop of Rock. On to
Madurai. Overnight stay.
Day 7 : Madurai
Morning visit to Meenakshi Sundareshwar, one of the largest temple
complexes in India built between the 16th and 18th centuries. It is
estimated that 33 million sculptures are there. Leisurely afternoon.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8 : Madurai / Thekkady (136 km/3½ Hrs.)
(Periyar Wildlife Sanctury) Early morning drive to Thekkady. On arrival
we assist you to check in at our Hotel for overnight stay. Evening game
viewing at the sanctuary by boat on lake Periyar. Overnight stay.
Day 9 : Periyar - Varkala(220 kMS/4-hrs)
Morning we drive to Varkala. Upon arrival at Varkala we check in at our
prearranged hotel.
Afternoon visit the Portugese church of Anjengo dated to the time of
occupation, which maybe the Elanchoros of the geography of Ptomempee
(2nd century A.D.). Also visit the English Fort constructed in 1695
A.D. by the English 'East India Company', which play an important role
in the war of Mysore in 18th century. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10 : Varkala - Alappuzha Post breakfast we drive to
Alappuzha, district of immense natural beauty. Referred to as the
Venice of the East by travelers from across the world, this backwater
country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. By virtue of its
proximity to the sea, the town has always enjoyed a unique place in the
maritime history of Kerala. Today Alappuzha is grown in importance as a
backwater tourist centre, attracting several thousands of foreign
tourists each year. Alappuzha is also famous for its boat races,
houseboat holidays, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Upon
arrival to Alappuzha - check into the hotel Overnight at hotel
Morning drive to to be at Alappuzha in time to witness the famous boat race.
Day 11 : Alappuzha
Full day at The Snake Boat Race festival "Payippad Boat Race Payippad near Harippad Alappuzha District ". Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 : Alappuzha
Full day sightseeing tour around Alappuzha area & overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13 : Alappuzha
Post breakfast we visit to see Aranmula Boat Race, Famous water fiesta
which is held during Onam (August - September). The snake boats
assemble near Sri. Parthasarathi Temple before the grand procession.
Each boat is 30 ft long and accommodates 4 helmsmen, 100 rowers and 25
singers. The snake boats move in pairs to the rhythm of full-throated
singing and shouting, watched by excited crowd. Overnight stay at the
hotel.
Day 14 : Alappuzha - Munnar (180kms / 4-5hrs)
Post breakfast we leave for Munnar, hill station with beautiful
tea gardens. On arrival we assist you to check in at our Hotel. Evening
at leisure and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 15 : Munnar Today morning we drive to Eravikulam National
Park, the best place to see the Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goat). The
altitude varies from about 1,400m on the valley floor to Anaimudi peak
at 2,695m, the highest peak in Nilgiris and south of the Himalayas. The
drive is through the sprawling tea gardens, among the world's highest.
You make like to stop over and have a short tea garden visit. Evening
at leisure and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 16 : Munnar - Cochin (160 km / 4hrs)
Post breakfast we drive to Cochin , Cochin always had a very
popular and historical sea trade connection with Middle East,
Mediterranean Europe, Dutch and British. It has one of the finest
natural harbors on the Arabian coastline. Its cosmopolitan character is
reflected in the buildings and structures representing different
regions of the world. It is one of the few places in the world where
one can see a Jewish synagogue, Portuguese churches, architecture,
mosques, temples and Chinese fishing nets, all in one city. A city of
peninsulas and islands, today it is Kerala's commercial hub.
Upon arrival at cochin we checkin at our prearranged hotel. Evening at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel
Day 17 : Cochin
Today afternoon our guide will take you for a half day city tour of
Cochin, with visits to St. Francis' Church, Dutch Palace (Built by the
Portuguese), Jew Town, the Jewish Synagogue built in the year 1568,
spice market, where the air is filled with the pungent smell of spices,
and Chinese fishing nets. In the evening we see Kerala's most popular
classical dance, Kathakali. Overnight stay at the hotel
Day 18 : Cochin - Mumbai (By 9W-404 Dep@ 1515hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel. Later on time we drive to Cochin Airport to
catch the flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai we assist you to
check in at our Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 19 : Mumbai
Post breakfast departure for half day sightseeing tour covering the
Gateway of India, the entrance to the port of Mumbai. It was built to
commemorate the visit of King George V in 1911. Historically the
Gateway holds greater significance as the last of the British troops,
which left independent India by sea, marched through its portals.
Followed by a boat cruise to Elephanta Caves from Gateway of India. The
caves are at the top of a gentle stairway, which begins almost
immediately where the ferry wharf hits dry land. Other attractions
would be the Prince Wales Museum & Marine Drive which runs along
the shore of the Arabian Sea from Nariman Point past Chowpatty Beach to
the foot of Malabar Hill, later on time transfer to the airport to
board the flight for Ahmedabad. On arrival we assist you to check in at
our Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 20 : Mumbai - Abroad
Tour concludes. Caper thanks you for your patronage and ensures a
punctual transfer to Airport / Railway Station for onward travel.
